ISIB Interstellar Incubator, 2018 WORK: Sculpture, 320x110x78cm (wood, steel, wire mesh, paper, adhesive), 2018 ISIB – the interstellar incubator – comes from the in-between of the stars. Wherever it lands, it invites the human people to come closer and to form a round table along its ring, to sit down and incubate themselves at the interface of the human and more-than-human-world. It can happen in total silence, in which the human tongue relaxes and words float directly from the human body into the incubator’s body in front of their eyes. It can happen that one human starts with a tone, expressing one’s mood, concern, hope and so on, and that others follow with their tones, buzzing, growling, chanting together, in correspondence, in conflict, in harmony. And the incubator will take this mixed sound in its body and will echo it and amplify it that the human and more-than-human-people can get the vibration.
